Oh what a difference a year makes

Since the picture on Face Book (right side) was taken a year ago on my birthday, I believe I will leave it as is and not update picture tomorrow. Why? Because I think they said possible snow tonight. I will not sit out there like that tomorrow.
Here is my bouquet of roses. Pen ink and colored pencil.

New Pretties today

I found a new flower today that I forgot I had planted. It is a miniature Iris, Dutch Iris, and it was hiding behind a clump of miniature daffodils. WOW! What beautiful color for such a little plant. Now I know what they mean by good things come in small packages..
I also finished the keepsake box top today of Trixie, the beagle, and still have two coats of polyurathane to go before I get to put it on the box and ship it.. Will post a picture of Trixie finished..

Playing in the dirt

I received over 500 bulbs a few days ago and here it is December. It is now raining and is to be fairly nice after. Therefore I think I shall go play in the dirt. It will give me something to look forward to when once again Spring will arrive and all the beauty that lays dormant will arise.
Hopefully I will be able to share some wonderful photos with you.
I am also trying my Mom's trick of trying to get roses to root from some recent bouquets I received. I'm not sure if it will work, since these are hot house roses. I've never tried it but I will let you know if it works. There are six different varieties that I will be hoping will sprout roots.
In the mean time I wish all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
